The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged on the basis of gender.

In 2018, City Council candidates Erin Edwards, City of Riverside Ward 1 (left) and Jacque Casillas, City of Corona District 1 (right) greet attendees.
Edwards held 42% of the vote in the primary election June 2019 and won election in run-off in November 2019. She retired from City Council in 2023.
Casillas won her first election in November 2018 and re-election in November 2022.
